PranaCare Ltd.  ·  Edmonton & Alberta

Turn leadership tension into clear decisions and coordinated action.

A structured six-to-twelve-week consulting engagement for executive and senior leadership teams navigating misalignment, unresolved tension, unclear decision authority and inconsistent accountability.

Available in person in Edmonton and virtually or through blended delivery across Alberta. This is organizational consulting connected to real leadership priorities—not a generic communication workshop or team-building event.

Signs of Misalignment

When the leadership team is not fully aligned

These patterns are common in capable leadership teams. They usually reflect unclear priorities, undefined decision authority or unspoken tension—not a lack of talent or commitment.

The same discussions returning without resolution
Unclear decisions or unclear decision authority
Conflicting priorities across departments
Departmental silos and limited cross-team coordination
Conflict that is avoided rather than addressed
Inconsistent messages to staff and stakeholders
Weak follow-through on leadership commitments
Meetings that end without clear next steps
Organizational Consequences

How leadership misalignment can affect the organization

The impact of an unaligned leadership team is often quiet but cumulative. Over time it may influence the following areas of the organization.

Employees

Staff may receive inconsistent direction, feel uncertain about priorities and expend energy interpreting mixed signals.

Projects

Key initiatives may progress more slowly, lose momentum or be repeatedly re-scoped when responsibilities are unclear.

Clients

Clients, members or funders may experience uneven service or shifting expectations across departments.

Decisions

Important decisions may be delayed, revisited or made outside of the appropriate forum without clear ownership.

Change initiatives

Strategic change, restructuring and growth plans may lose coordination when leaders are not fully aligned.

Leadership time

Senior leaders may spend disproportionate time managing internal friction rather than advancing organizational priorities.

A Clearly Aligned Leadership Team

What successful alignment looks like

Aligned leadership teams still disagree—but they disagree constructively, decide clearly and execute together. These are the practical results the engagement works toward.

Clear organizational priorities the team supports
Better, faster leadership decisions
Constructive rather than avoided conflict
Consistent communication across the organization
Shared accountability for commitments
Coordinated execution across departments
Who The Engagement Is For

Appropriate fit

Not an appropriate fit

  • Situations requiring a formal workplace investigation
  • Circumstances requiring therapy, psychological treatment or clinical mental-health services
  • Matters requiring legal advice or legal representation

  • Situations where safety concerns must be addressed through other professionals first

In these situations PranaCare will recommend a more appropriate service or professional.

What this engagement is—and is not

Leadership Team Alignment is an organizational consulting and leadership-development service. It focuses on workplace decisions, responsibilities, relationships, behaviour and execution.

It is not counselling, group therapy or psychological diagnosis. It is not a workplace investigation. It is not legal advice. When those services are required, PranaCare will recommend an appropriate professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions leadership teams commonly ask

Additional questions are welcomed during the confidential consultation.

We already completed a team-building or communication workshop.
Team building may improve connection, but it may not address unclear priorities, decision authority, leadership conflict or accountability. This engagement is connected to real organizational responsibilities and decisions.
We do not have time to take the entire leadership team away from work.
Misaligned decisions, repeated conversations and unresolved tension already consume leadership time. The engagement creates a focused process for addressing these issues and reducing ongoing inefficiency.
What if discussing the problems makes the conflict worse?
Avoided conflict rarely disappears. PranaCare uses confidential interviews, careful preparation and structured facilitation to help leaders address difficult issues constructively. Readiness is evaluated before proceeding.
Will the facilitator take sides?
The facilitator does not determine winners and losers. The role is to help the team understand different perspectives, clarify what the organization requires and create workable agreements.
Can our HR department facilitate this?
Internal HR leaders may be capable facilitators. An independent facilitator can provide neutrality, protect the ongoing HR relationship and help senior leaders discuss issues that may be difficult to address internally.
Will interview comments remain confidential?
Interview findings are normally presented as consolidated themes without attributing individual comments. Confidentiality expectations and limitations are explained before interviews begin.
How will we know whether the engagement worked?
Progress measures are agreed upon with the executive sponsor. These may include clarified decisions, defined responsibilities, completion of commitments, meeting effectiveness and resolution of identified issues.
Can it be delivered virtually?
Yes. Interviews and follow-up meetings can be completed virtually. Facilitated sessions may be delivered in person, virtually or through a blended format.
The investment is significant.
The consultation examines the organizational consequences of the current situation, the engagement scope and the expected value of clearer leadership alignment. PranaCare recommends proceeding only when the service appears appropriate.
A Different Kind Of Engagement

Your leadership team does not need another generic workshop.

If you are the executive sponsor—CEO, executive director, founder or senior HR leader—request a confidential consultation. We will discuss the situation, determine whether this service is appropriate and recommend the right engagement level.
